“Any one who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty.”
Henry Ford
The Center for Lifelong Learning is now the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute
If you found us out of curiosity, are fifty years of age or older and live within driving distance of the University of Texas at El Paso, The Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL) may be the right place for you.
Curiosity. Intellectual curiosity is the key.
In CLL, stimulating discussions and lectures provide an ambience for learning, free of the pressure of exams, grades and term papers. Here, we learn for the shear love of learning.
Who are we?
We are senior adults who live in El Paso, Ciudad Juarez, Mexico or southern New Mexico.
We are thinking individuals who believe passionately that there is always more to learn.
We are those who have afternoons free during the week and want to fill them with more than television and a round of golf, although we enjoy those activities and others too.
We enjoy each others’ company because we have so much in common and also because we appreciate and learn from our differences. CLL facilitates that interaction in our classrooms and in our headquarters, Suite 209, in Miners Hall.
WE NEVER OUTGROW CURIOSITY
