The Work Control Service Desk is responsible for managing, processing, and controlling requested services, preventative maintenance items, and emergency services for work to be performed on facilities and other assets of the University of Texas at El Paso. Every effort is made to process your request in a timely and professional manner. To accomplish this, we ask that you contact the Work Control Service Center with your needs and avoid calling the individual maintenance shops. This will allow us to properly document and process your request as well as provide accurate and reliable answers to your questions.
Facilities Services uses the TMA software program in the creation, tracking and closing of all work order projects. Work orders are updated on a daily basis by Work Control Specialists who have the responsibility of specific projects assigned to them. The tracking process is currently an internal process but the goal is to allow for the creation of work orders by the client online through the TMA system. This system is where customers would be allowed to view the progress of time and effort on a work order through the projects completion. It is the goal of the Work Control Service Center to launch the iServiceDesk to customers campus wide so that each customer may submit and track their work requests.
