The Division of Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) strives to extend access to University resources beyond traditional boundaries to a broad base of constituencies, including international markets, and to support lifelong learning, and the application of technology to instruction. The division specializes in customized training, partnerships, including new programs, and accelerated formats. The division is a self-supporting entity and as such generates resources which provide the University with the flexibility to respond to changing social and educational needs.
PACE offers a wide range of non-credit and credit programs for the regional community including business and industry, professional, and government agencies. Programs offered by PACE include Community Programs, Business and Professional Programs, Technology Education, the English Language Institute (ELI), the Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL), UTEP Faculty and Staff Training and Development, and Customized On-Site Training. Included in these offerings are opportunities for skill development, continuing education units, and personal enrichment. Courses are offered on campus, off campus and on-line.
