James Ball

My name is James Ball and I am currently a Junior in psychology.  My primary research interests include the effects of shooter bias and how this may impact the combat veteran.  One day I would like to be employed as a clinician in the VA community and working with the veteran population that is suffering from PTSD.




Vanessa Gonzalez

My name is Vanessa Gonzalez and I am a Senior who will be graduating in December of 2007.  I will be graduating with a Major in Psychology and a Minor in Criminal Justice.  I would like to go on to Gradaute School in order to pursue a Master's Degree that will assist with a career in the Criminal Justice field.

Ed Montoya

My name is Edmundo Montoya Jr.  I am a senior in psychology and minor in biology.  My research interests include jury deliberations.  I plan to join the U.S. Coast Guard when I graduate and someday would like to be employed as a U.S. Marshall.






Veronica Simonds

I am a 22 year old undergraduate transfer student from Indiana University and a proud military spouse since 2005.  I am interested in pursuing a Ph. D. in Social Psychology after I earn my Bachelor's Degree at UTEP.  In my free time I enjoy writing, producing, and performing my original music.




Ruben Tafoya

My name is Ruben Tafoya and I have been a part of the Center for Law and Human Behavior for about 2 years.  I started working with Dr. Taylor on a survey that was conducted in the behave of the El Paso Sheriff's Department.  I am interested in how psychology and the law interact, specifically forensic psychology.  Currently I am working with a graduate student on a subliminal priming project.  I will be obtaining my Bachelor's in psychology in the Fall of 2007.

We are always looking for talented undergraduates to be a part of the lab!  As an undergraduate research assistant, you would be responsible for data collection, data entry, and data analysis - in case you have never done any of those things, we can show you you how!
