Peer Mentoring

Dr. Hosch and all the graduates students of the lab take an active role in mentoring undergraduate lab members.  This often involves helping the students design research projects, run participants, and collect and analyze data.  Undergraduates often get to present research findings to the Department and to submit papers and posters to professional conferences.

Professional Conferences

All members of the lab are encouraged to submit their research to professional conferences at the local, state, and national level.  Typically, lab members present papers and posters at AP-LS, APA, and SARMAC.

Other Lab Activities

Lab members also enjoy having some fun over the course of the semester.  There are pot luck dinners, pumpkin carvings, birthday celebrations, and football tailgates to attend, among other events!  Every year, the lab makes a pilgrimage to visit Dr. Hosch at his cabin in Cloudcroft, NM.  Everyone visits the local craftfair, eats funnel cake, and goes on long marches through the wood!
