Human Resource Services (HRS) and Professional and Public Programs have collaborated with departments across the campus to provide a centralized source for staff-training and development programs. Response from the university community has been tremendous.
Those with managerial responsibilities are charged with assisting employees with their career development goals. Staff development programs provide employees with opportunities for lifelong learning and continuous self-improvement. These programs for personal and professional development increase job satisfaction, productivity and commitment to the university.
All employees are encouraged to participate in career and professional development training. Your One-Stop Training Shop consists of the following opportunities:
- Occupational and/or professional education and training to enhance expertise
- Job enrichment opportunities that expand skills
- Development courses provide for planned progression within the same position
- Career advancement training to support movement to other university positions
