Employee Service Award Guidelines    

The Service Award Program is designed to recognize employees with long-term service to the University of Texas at El Paso. Anniversary dates are recognized in 5-year increments beginning with 5 years of service. Every fall semester, employees who reach a service milestone by August 31st of the current year are recognized in the service award ceremony. Service at other state agencies or other components of the UT system will not count toward UTEP service award determination. A nine-month faculty or staff appointment (Sept.-May) will constitute one year of service. When an employee is hired and works one business day in that particular month, they will be eligible to receive a full month of service credit.
