Provide UTEP students with easy access to Microsoft’s Cloud Storage in campus lab computing environments and on personally owned mobile devices.

SELF-SERVICE SOFTWARE INSTALLATION

Develop and implement a self-service system for Microsoft Windows-based computers that will allow UTEP employees the ability to install approved software on institutionally owned computing devices.

BLACKBOARD AVAILABLE VIA SOFTWARE AS A SERVICE

Our goal is to eliminate all downtime for this mission critical system by transitioning to Blackboard Learn SaaS Infrastructure. Moving to this infrastructure will result in maximized up-time for Blackboard Learn.

REAL TIME SYNC BETWEEN BANNER/GOLDMINE & BLACKBOARD

Enables real-time sync of grades and course roster between Banner/Goldmine and Blackboard Learn.

NEW TECHNOLOGY-ENHANCED CLASSROOMS

UTEP must provide our faculty with an updated design for technology in the classroom, a design that is reliable, user-friendly, and in which mobile devices easily connect with the classroom technology. The new technology promotes use of mobile devices for in-class discussion, content sharing, and collaboration.

Increase access to 3D printing by establishing a self-sustaining budget model that is affordable to our students, faculty, and staff.

In collaboration with Academic Technologies (AT), faculty (full-time, adjunct and graduate students) will participate in a cohort-based, professional development experience to transform teaching and learning utilizing the Blackboard Learn (Bb) platform.

Blackboard Collaborate is a highly effective video conferencing tool that facilitates real-time discussion and collaboration. To improve user experience, we will enable the Ultra version of Blackboard Collaborate.
