Health Insurance

International Students

All international students on non-immigrant visas living in the U.S. must enroll in the UT System approved comprehensive health insurance plan. The plan provides certain basic coverage features that meet standards required by the United States Department of State regulations. The Health Insurance Premium will be included on your Tuition/Fee statement. You may qualify for a waiver of the Health Insurance Premium if you meet all of the requirements on the Office of International Programs - Health Insurance Page.

If you have health insurance coverage through another plan that meets these requirements, you must take your insurance policy to the Office of Human Resources by census day.

For insurance rates and plan information for Fall 2017 please visit the Academic Health Plans website.
