GlobalProtect VPN

System Requirements Title
UTEP students, faculty and staff can securely connect to network resources from remote locations through the GlobalProtect VPN using commercial internet service providers.

The GlobalProtect VPN service is enhanced with Duo's two-factor authentication software and will require you to register for Duo service prior to establishing a VPN connection. For more information on UTEP two-factor authentication registration click here.

Features and Benefits
• Access UTEP resources that require user authentication, such as library
   databases, from off campus
• Access departmental servers from off campus
• Access your desktop computer from your laptop or personal computer when
   away from the office
• Access the library's subscription online resources, including databases and
   electronic journals (e-journals)
Getting Started
Download and install the GlobalProtect agent for your operating system.

Mac OS 32/64 bit GlobalProtect agent

When prompted, enter your credentials and portal information

When prompted from Duo (on your mobile device), select Approve to allow the connection.

UTEP only officially supports GlobalProtect VPN for Windows Vista or better and Mac OS X 10.6 or better.

Linux workstations have to download or purchase software to allow VPN. Because of this, support would be from that software and not UTEP.
